The PTO organizes events throughout the year to help raise money for the school, and also helps with some school services. Below is a description of most of what we do.
HAWK WALK – coordinator Stephanie Mustain
This great event promotes fitness as a fun activity and shows awesome school spirit. Students walk a pre-set course on the school field, and family and friends can give a donation to support their student. This is our main fundraiser of the year, and all profits goes directly to help the school.
CARNIVAL and AUCTION - Carnival:Kim Zavatsky and Sharon Soloway Auction:Lorella Ritzel Class Baskets:Maci Herbert
This is a huge event of fun inflatables, game booths and rides, with delicious food and treats. The auction is a very popular part of the carnival where baskets, event tickets, are auctioned to the highest bidder.
BOOK FAIR - coordinator Jennifer Schofield - co-chair NEEDED
A week-long event by Scholastic Books, this event encourages reading with a great selection of books for sale. Classes are able to browse and shop during a pre-set time at school. Family and friends can shop at Authors Night, where wonderful local children’s authors are available to chat and sign their books.
VALENTINE’S DANCE – coordinator Marcy Kynaston and Jessica Casimates
Students and their families can dance the night away at our very popular evening dance. This is our third year of organizing this event, and it gets more popular each year. Great music, refreshments, and a photographer is available to capture that special moment.
RESTAURANT NIGHTS- coordinator NEEDED
During the year we try to organize a couple of evenings where families can dine-in or take-out, and restaurant will give a percentage of those sales to the PTO. We also organize a fun evening with Papa Johns Pizza, where families can order dinner and have it delivered by Copper Creek teachers. You never know who will be knocking on your door!
ART TO REMEMBER- Jackie Picton
Students in selected grades create beautiful artwork in class that can be transformed into many different items like magnets, mugs, notecards and many more. These are very affordable and make great gifts.
KIDZART – coordinator Debbie Farnall
After school art classes are provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Kidzart gives a percentage of the cost of these classes to the PTO.
AR STORE – coordinator Tracy Rogers
Once a month the PTO sets up the store with small treat and gift items. Students can buy goodies using their Accelerated Reader points that they have earned.
TEACHER/STAFF APPRECIATION - coordinator Carrie Stutsman
Each year we like to show our appreciation of our fantastic teachers and staff with gifts and/or events.

Laminating is done by volunteers to help the teachers and office.
YEARBOOK – coordinator Jenny Watson
Each year students have the opportunity to purchase a beautiful yearbook filled with school memories. This is compiled and sold completely by PTO volunteers.
STUDENT DIRECTORY – coordinator Lorella Ritzel
Volunteers compile the information for the directory which is given to each school family every year.
